About SIW

Stepping Into Wholeness is a workshop designed to bring about greater emotional intelligence, connection and compassion for each person who attends. The work begins when the client agrees to show up, especially if this a new experience for the person. Often the client feels some anxiety or tension about coming, and that’s to be expected. Doing anything new can be stressful, especially when the content encourages vulnerability and openness.

Stepping Into Wholeness creates an opportunity to take a look at the events or the pieces of our backstory that have us isolated, sick or stuck.

A theme in our life develops in our relationships, “some of those that were supposed to love and protect me were also the ones that caused me harm”. This paradox creates a conditioned emotional disability in recognizing or the “know how” to keep oneself emotionally safe. We stay stuck in these painful events and they affect our everyday life because we're attempting to function as if the event didn’t happen. In order to maintain the denial, we numb, medicate and dissociate.

Our process at Stepping Into Wholeness is to offer a healing correction and help guide your journey through these events. This is new and uncharted territory because the denial allowed us to walk around rather than through these memories. With guidance, you can create a sense of safety and security which is essential because we so often are wounded in private, or in secret , and we heal in community.

The intention of the healing community offers connection, support, and reflection. You are not alone. As one walks this new journey, the solution in community weaves in recovery because one person’s path will overlap someone else’s story (we call this passive learning). All of this work is invitational and observation is participation. The healing workshop lets me rewrite my story, rescue myself, and create a new theme of “I get to take care of myself.”
